Dr. Wes Johnson has been a pastor in the Pacific Northwest since 1984. Since 1993, he has been serving Bethel Baptist Church as Lead Pastor
He is also Executive Director of Awakenings Prayer Institute. He has taught the principles of Spiritual Formation to lay and pastoral leaders in Focusing Leaders Networks, the Columbia Center for Leadership Formation, the Cascade Lead Team, and at Bakke Graduate University, in Seattle, WA. Wes leads contemplative prayer retreats and seminars.
Background – Mary comes to us as a well-tested specialist in children’s and family counseling. Over her 40 years of service, her clients have ranged from age 4 to the elderly. She has an extensive background in social services, geriatrics, children and family counseling. She served as a director of geriatrics for several years. She has a special affinity for young women and families who are in crisis.
Availability: Mary is available for seminars and person to person or family counseling on Sunday afternoons and evenings, and Monday or Tuesday mornings. She is also available for e-mail and phone consultations following appointments.

Abe has been serving as Youth Pastor to Ground Zero since 2002. He is a dedicated man of God and has a true passion for young people to find Jesus Christ in a real way for their lives.
Abe served in the Army National Guard for the six years.
He is married to Leslie (Orfao) McWethy. Abe & Leslie have one son, Daniel David.
Becky has been serving as Secretary/Admin Assist. since 1995. She also enjoys serving on the Worship Team and plays flute & piano. Other activities include participation in the Mukilteo Orchestra along with several other members from Bethel. She also enjoys sewing and various other craft projects.
Children’s Ministry Leader – Greg Kuper Sr.
Greg Sr. taught History at Cascade High School for many years. Although he is retired from teaching in a public school setting, he continues to teach the children of Bethel Church. The curriculum is designed especially for age appropriate learning of Bible Stories integrated with math, reading and writing skills, reinforcing what the children learn in the public school. Additional staff members/volunteers serve faithfully to make the Children’s Program one of excellence.
